Product details
Yankaian Ultra-High Strength PE Fiber represents the pinnacle of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber technology. Engineered for mission-critical protective applications, this fiber line delivers exceptional tensile strength and stiffness while maintaining the lightweight advantage that makes PE fiber the preferred choice over traditional aramid fibers in modern defense and law enforcement equipment.

Manufactured at our state-of-the-art facility in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, each grade is produced under stringent quality controls to ensure consistent mechanical performance. Our J-series fibers are currently supplied to manufacturers across personal armor, vehicle armor, marine protection, and industrial safety sectors globally.
Key Material Properties
Mechanical Performance
• Tensile strength range: ≥31 to ≥39 cN/dtex across grades
• Elastic modulus: ≥1100 to ≥1500 cN/dtex — among the highest in commercial PE fiber
• Elongation at break: ≤4% — superior dimensional stability under ballistic impact
• High specific strength: 15× stronger than steel on a weight-for-weight basis
Physical & Chemical Characteristics
• Density: ~0.97 g/cm³ — the only structural fiber that floats on water
• Moisture absorption: <1% — maintains performance in humid and marine environments
• Operating temperature range: –150°C to +80°C
• Excellent UV resistance and long-term outdoor durability
• High chemical resistance to acids, alkalis, and most organic solvents
• Biocompatible and non-toxic — safe for extended body contact applications
Grade Specifications & Technical Data
All grades are available in 800D and 1600D denier. Higher J-series numbers indicate progressively superior tensile strength and modulus values.
Grade | Tensile Strength (cN/dtex) | Elongation at Break (%) | Modulus (cN/dtex) | Application Focus |
J99 800D | ≥ 31 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1100 | Soft armor, ballistic panels |
J100 800D | ≥ 33 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1200 | Tactical vests, cut-resistant gloves |
J200 800D | ≥ 36 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1300 | Helmet liners, hard armor composites |
J280 800D | ≥ 37 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1400 | Vehicle armor, blast-resistant panels |
J300 800D | ≥ 39 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1500 | NIJ Level IV armor, advanced defense |
J99 1600D | ≥ 30 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1100 | Wide-fabric UD composites |
JX99 1600D | ≥ 31 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1100 | High-area-density protective sheets |
J200 1600D | ≥ 33 | ≤ 4 | ≥ 1300 | Multi-threat armor systems |
* All values represent minimum guaranteed performance. Custom denier and filament count configurations available upon request.
